As was done with the digitally published Bulletins during 2024, once again, we have decided to issue a printed edition of the Meter Stamp Society Quarterly Bulletins that were originally published digitally during 2025. This collected volume, The Meter Stamp Society Quarterly Bulletin 2025 (Volume 77), will be available through Amazon.com. To ensure broad accessibility for members and interested collectors alike, it will be offered at cost price. In addition to its general availability, this volume will be exhibited at two major international philatelic events: Boston 2026 World Stamp Expo and Philataipei 2026. The year 2026 is notable for several reasons. It marks the 250th anniversary of the United States, and it also coincides with the 79th anniversary of the Meter Stamp Society—a remarkable milestone that reflects the Society’s enduring vitality and relevance. While the Society originally focused on meter stamps, the scope of our interests has naturally expanded over the decades. Today, our worldwide membership embraces not only traditional meter stamps, but also computer-vended postage (ATM or Post & Go), custom postage, remailing covers, and many other facets of modern postal history. This diversity of collecting interests is well reflected in the articles published throughout the 2025 Bulletins.Collectors who share these interests and wish to join our international Society will find further information on our website (meterstampsociety.com), by scanning the QR code on the back cover of this book, or by contacting the editor directly at khfr79@yahoo.com.As a special addition, this volume includes a fascinating Blast from the Past article, “Process of How Slogans Came into Being,” written by Homer H. Hemenway and originally published in Linn’s Stamp News (March 28, 1977, page 30). Its inclusion provides both historical perspective and a reminder of the depth of scholarship that has long characterized meter stamp collecting. Read more
