An American Girl in Boston: The Diary of Anna Green Winslow 1771-1773

In 1771, a young girl named Anna Winslow (descendant of the Mayflower Pilgrim Edward Winslow) began writing a series of letters to her mother and father while she lived with an aunt in Boston. She copied these letters into a journal, and preserved a glimpse of colonial history forever. At 12 years old, Anna described her days as she moved in the upper social circles of Boston just before the American Revolution. Her letters are some of the most famous and ordinary descriptions of the daily life of a girl in Colonial America.This Knowledge Keepers edition is a reprint of the 1894 edition by Alice Morse Earle, with additional notes on words and terms unfamiliar to modern readers.
